After the installation of a crown or bridge.

In order to promote your healing, we recommend following the steps described below. However, please note that it is completely normal to experience some discomfort and swelling in the lower part of your face after the surgery.

Enhance your smile with our post-installation tips for a perfect fit of your dental crown.

The installation of bridges/crowns can be done in one or two appointments depending on the type of crown or bridge design. We utilize CEREC technology to provide on-site design and installation of bridges and crowns at our clinic. However, for certain aesthetic or technical cases, we may also collaborate with an experienced laboratory.

Day of treatment

  • Take prescribed medication, if necessary.

Avoid

  • Consuming hot liquids while under anesthesia.
  • Eating sticky or hard foods (chewing gum, candies).

Diet

  • Chew on the opposite side.

From the day after until complete healing

  • Brush your teeth normally, using caution when flossing to avoid dislodging the temporary crown.
  • If you lose the temporary crown, please visit the clinic immediately to have it reattached. Delaying this may make the installation of the new crown more difficult, and the other teeth may start to shift into the vacant space.

If you experience pain or have any questions, please call us at 450 582-0965.
