Teeth whitening
Restore the whiteness your teeth once had.
Teeth whitening
Teeth whitening aims to restore the whiteness your teeth once had. Also known as "tooth bleaching," teeth whitening is an easy, quick, and effective treatment with almost instant results. This simple process helps lighten the shade of your teeth and even allows you to touch up the results yourself to maintain long-term whiteness.
We offer two types of teeth whitening: in-office chairside whitening performed at the clinic and at-home whitening.
In-chair teeth whitening
During a one-and-a-half-hour appointment, a dental hygienist applies a whitening treatment to your teeth. They also create a custom tray for you to take home, allowing you to continue the treatment over a few days to achieve the desired results.
This treatment is highly effective as it provides immediate results on the same day and continues to work over a few days at home. It is also safe for your mouth and gums, unlike many over-the-counter treatments available in pharmacies, retail stores, and online.
At-home teeth whitening
For this treatment, our team creates custom trays for you and provides the whitening product for you to use in the comfort of your own home. The principle is to wear the trays containing an oxygen ion solution to whiten the teeth, either during the night or during the day, for several days. This treatment requires more discipline from the patient to carefully follow each step leading to the desired result.
For both types of whitening treatments we offer, you can later purchase whitening gel directly from the clinic during your follow-up cleaning appointment to maintain the whiteness of your teeth and your radiant smile.
Will I have any dietary restrictions after whitening?
During the 3-4 days following an in-office or at-home teeth whitening, or during touch-ups (4-7 DAYS), it is essential not to consume or drink colored foods. It is preferable to only consume foods without dark colorants to avoid compromising the effectiveness of the whitening product and maintain a bright smile for a long time.
Can teeth whitening cause tooth sensitivity?
After the treatment, it is possible to experience sensitivity, especially to cold. In this case, you can brush your teeth with Sensodyne rapid action or repair and protect toothpaste. It is essential not to rinse your mouth, eat, or drink for 30 minutes after brushing to keep the product in contact with the teeth.
