The importance of regular dental check-ups

Regular dental visits every six months are essential for maintaining good oral health.

Smile brighter with regular dental checkups!

The routine examination consists of checking the presence of cavities, dental plaque or tartar on the teeth. Dental plaque is a whitish deposit that remains stuck on the surface of the teeth. Mainly made up of bacteria, it hardens and turns into tartar if it is not eliminated in time. Unfortunately, at this stage, only a dental professional can remove it. If you neglect to do so, various problems threaten to appear sooner or later.

The second step of the checkup is to examine the gums using an instrument that assesses the space between the teeth and the gums. If this space is minimal, your gums are doing well and, on the other hand, if the space is more pronounced, there is inflammation. Of course, this examination takes into account the specific characteristics of each patient (eating habits, smoking, salivary characteristics, diabetes, etc.). Additionally, tests to screen for oral cancers are also available.
